The 11th edition of the American College of Surgeons' two-day ATLS student course for physicians and physician extenders combines lectures, laboratory sessions, and skill stations to teach established standards of trauma care and practical, life-saving skills.
Upon completion, the participant will be able to:
- Demonstrate concepts and principles of primary and secondary patient assessment.
- Establish management priorities in a trauma situation, including mass casualty incidents.
- Initiate primary and secondary management necessary in the early hours of emergency care.
- Demonstrate skills used in the initial assessment and management of patients with multiple injuries.
**If the minimum number of required course participants is not met, a coordinator may reach out to you 2-3 business days prior to class to reschedule your session.
Cancellation & Rescheduling Fees
We understand that schedules can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule your course, please let us know as soon as possible.
To help us make the best use of our instructors' time and the Center’s resources, cancellations and rescheduling requests may be subject to the following fees:
- Cancellation: Cancellations made within three (3) calendar days of the scheduled course may be subject to a $25 fee.
- Rescheduling: Requests to reschedule a course may be subject to a $15 fee.
Fees may be waived at the Center’s discretion in cases of illness, emergencies, or other extenuating circumstances.
